Since I started as marketing director at a feed store, I have learned so much about chicks. It has been interesting. This weekend was our annual event - Chick Days. On Thursday, 2,500 chicks arrived. They had just been born the day before. We filled four giant tubs with them and over the course of two-and-a-half days we sold them all. It was a pretty spectacular thing.
I am always planning ahead and thinking of the next thing, so for those 3 days I took many many photos - ones that can be used for next year's marketing materials. Thursday night I got online and looked up chicks, to see which sort of photos I should take. Hoping: maybe something interesting will inspire me. Then: Jackpot! Hats by Julie Persons. Goldmine. So excited and inspired, I woke up at 4 a.m. and decided to make some hats of my own. I got out the felt and got started. 90 minutes later, I had these masterpieces.
One of my coworkers was as excited about the project as I was and she helped me with the modeling portion of the project.
It was a great day.
