I made some delicious soup the other day and needed some biscuits to go along with them. I love recipes that only have 4 ingredients and this one happened to finish off each of the 4 ingredients I had. Strange, special timing. This recipe was found on the 7UP website and I was skeptical at first, but am 100% sold now. I used a round pan (which was a terrible idea) and ended up with an extra biscuit which I put in a ramekin. Good call for sure. These would probably be a great topping to some chicken pot pie, too!
4 cups biscuit mix
1 cup sour cream
1 cup 7UP®
1/2 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 425°. Melt butter and pour into a baking dish. In a bowl, cut the sour cream into the biscuit mix. Add the 7UP® and combine until dough is just mixed. Place the dough on a floured surface and roll until it’s about 1 inch thick. Use a biscuit cutter to cut the biscuits. Place all the biscuits in the pan with the melted butter. Bake until golden brown, 20-25 minutes. Serve with jam or soup, and if you add more butter you may have a heart attack right at the table.
